I was really excited to see this box of Disney postcards, as official Disney postcards are often expensive and hard to find. Anyone who has purchased either volume of the 100 Pixar card sets will be immediately familiar with this box of cards, as the product is similar in quality and shape. There are three lines for the address on the right of the card and a predefined space for the stamp. The top left corner tells the movie the art is from, the type of art it is (concept art, story sketch, and cleanup animation drawing, for example) and the person who drew it, as well as the medium (ink, colored pencil, etc). The bottom of each card has a thin graduated blue band with white stars running the full length of the card, with the Disney logo above it.Please note that the subject matter of this set is the ART of Disney. That means that while there are some recognizable scenes from the movies, most of the cards are the art that went into the finished movies themselves--sketches, paintings, line drawings, etc. Although there are some colorful cards, many of the colors were much more muted than I expected. (It doesn't detract from the cards, they're just not quite as vibrant as I had imagined they would be.) Many of what I call line drawings (not super detailed sketches, a clean look) that I would have expected to be black and white also have red and blue lines as part of the drawing. The collection spans the movies from 1937 to 1961. Most of the cards (91) are from major movies, and the rest (9) are from minor films. They are already arranged chronologically for you in the box, with the exception of the minor films, which are grouped to themselves chronologically at the end. Here's what you get:- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: 8 total (3 color, 1 black and white sketch, 4 line drawings)- Pinocchio: 8 total (5 color, 1 black and white sketch, 2 line drawings)- Fantasia: 9 total (7 color, 2 black and white sketches)- Dumbo: 9 total (3 color, 2 black and white sketches, 4 line drawings)- Bambi: 9 total (3 color, 5 black and white sketches, 1 line drawing)- Cinderella: 9 total (8 color, 1 black and white sketch)- Alice in Wonderland: 10 total (10 color)- Peter Pan: 10 total (6 color, 3 black and white sketches, 1 line drawing)- Sleeping Beauty: 9 total (7 color, 2 line drawings)- 101 Dalmatians: 10 total (5 color, 4 black and white sketches, 1 line drawing)Minor Movies- The Band Concert (1935) : 1 color sketch- Hawaiian Holiday (1937) : 1 color sketch- Boat Builders (1938) : 1 color sketch- Art of Skiing (1941) : 1 color line drawing- Donald's Camera (1941) : 1 color sketch- Nifty Nineties (1941) : 1 b&w sketch with pops of red- Three Caballeros (1944) : 1 color line drawing- Canine Casanova (1945) : 1 color sketch- Cat Nap Pluto (1948) : 1 color sketchIn short, any fan of Disney can't go wrong at this price. It would also make a lovely relatively inexpensive gift for a Disney fan.

This is my first postcard book that I have bought, and I am very happy with it. The artwork is beautiful and the quality is excellent.I agree with another reviewer that on some of the postcards there is some wasted space where the art does not go all the way to the edge of the card, but I understand why this is the case and I do not feel that it takes away from the art on those cards very much - I would still be happy to mail them to my pen pals, although I prefer those postcards that do fill up most of the front of the cards to those that do not. This does not take away from a 5 star rating, in my opinion. The paper is VERY thick, with a gloss (more than a semi-gloss but less than high gloss) front and matte back. I do not have calipers, but it seems to be about a 16 pt. paper weight (I worked in a print shop for 4 years, and my father for over 30 years). The back has information about the movie in the top left corner, blank area to write a VERY short message in the middle left, information about the postcard pack on the bottom left, rectangle to place a stamp over in the top right corner, 3 lines in the middle right to write an address, Disney logo in the bottom right, and a star border along the bottom edge of the card. Everything mentioned above is in the same blue color print. In this set there are: 8 Snow White, 8 Pinocchio, 9 Fantasia, 9 Dumbo, 9 Bambi, 9 Cinderella, 10 Alice in Wonderland, 10 Peter Pan, 9 Sleeping Beauty, 10 101 Dalmations, 9 Mickey and Friends (from various movies), and the back of each postcard lists the movie name and year, what type of art it is (story sketch, film frame, etc), and the medium used, when applicable. The quality of the printed artwork is excellent and nothing short of beautiful. Each card measures 5 5/8 inches wide and 3 7/8 inches tall, so you can use the cheaper postcard postage in the US to send it :-)Hope this helps!

This is the first postcard box set I've ever ordered. I didn't order it directly from Amazon.com, and instead got it shipped from a seller in the UK. The box was a little dented because it had to travel all the way from England, but the postcards inside were unharmed! Plus, the set came earlier than expected. I received this yesterday (3/26) and wasn't expected to receive it until at least 04/01 (if not later). The art inside the cards are lovely. At 100 postcards for about $10 (the price I bought these for), that's only 10 cents a card. The postcard set comes with primarily old sketches. There are some movie stills, but most of these are unique artwork. For example, there is a brunette Tinker Bell. While these postcards might not be the exact art you're familiar with, they are all beautiful. Each postcard is well-made and well-colored.I especially liked how thick each postcard was. They don't feel flimsy; each card feels like it's made of cardstock! There's plenty of room to write on the back, too. I'd attach pictures, but part of the joy was flipping through each card to see what was included. These are so lovely I almost don't want to send them out to anyone. Perfect for any Disney lover!
