Great book! I was disappointed by some Merlin books that were not magical enough and were not wholesome enough for my children. These books are wonderful and did not drag in the garbage that some authors did.
Bought as gift for my son who has read rest of series. Loved it
My daughter and I were not impressed with the 12th book. Unlike the title, it has very little magic, and basically recaps the stories and character histories, (which 10 and 11 do recaps/ character histories too). I felt it was a waste of money...
I read the entire series & I felt the story was hard to keep interested in. Anyone buying this series expecting a tale of the Merlin we are accustomed to will most likely be disappointed, I was. I kept reading thinking it would get more interesting but I was just glad to get book 12 finished.
I'm glad I own this to add to my Lost Years of Merlin book series, but overall I was not very pleased with the lack of new content within. I can see this being a great reading companion along side the series, but not much else.
I bought these books for my grandson. He read and enjoyed them.
