I own everyone of Kerby's books. I love them. I do rave reviews on them on all my social media, but this time you really hit the wall flat. The book is signifigantly thinner. There are no double pages and the second side is bright white. This makes the book look very empty. The pictures have barely any room for coloring and the details are so tiny they will not look good once colored. I am debating returning this, but since I have all his other books I will probably keep it for the set. I won't be buying any more until reviews come out from multiple colorists.

Does the publisher even read reviews? The artist is great, the paper is wonderful. formatting is good, but where are the pages? I'm not sending the book back but I will no longer pre-order in the future, this is the second time I have been disapointed. This is Deja Vu all over again!

Another disappointing book from Kerby Rosanes. This book has very few illustrations, all single sided and somewhat boring compared to his other books. This book has the same problem as fantomorphia. Too expensive for what you get and the creativity isn't too good. If you want a good Kerby Rosanes book I would try animorphia, Mythomorphia or Imagimorphia. Those books are much better and you get more for the price.

It's NOT overpriced. If anything his other books are UNderpriced and this is priced right. Why? The paper quality is excellent, BUT they are only 1-sided. No 2-page spreads which are so awesome in his other books. I know- I'm the only one that feels that way but I think people are starting to realize what they lose. A lot.The images in this book are so amazing...from a snail morphing to smoke from a volcano doing the same, as well as a skull with trees protruding from the holes in the skull- I can't wait to get started in it. I will definitely be buying a 2nd copy of this book. There are 19 total images to color. So, an 11.00 book with 19 pages at that price? Very fair. That's $.58/page.

This the 2nd book of Kirby's that I have pre-ordered. It will be the last one. Not only is it 19 pages, there are very few that are worth coloring. After receiving this book, I re-ordered the first two books that he published to color again. Perhaps he and his publishers should listen to his fan base and go back to the way his books used to be. I would rather wait 2 years for a new book, than be disappointed again.

SO HAPPY to see the details back! No I donâ€™t like the artwork ideas as much as his first 3 books, but I like it WAY MORE than his last one. I miss the double page spreads, but at least we got ONE to play with. And being able to use wet mediums on single-sided paper is fun as well. Worthwhile purchase, and Iâ€™m grateful we got another book from him.

I personally think you guys are being too harsh I don't think the price was that steep for 19 pages and I personally don't mind the one sided pages that way if you wanted to frame it you could and you don't have to ruin another. The illustrations are beautiful and I think they're very creative they're just as creative as his Mythamorphia edition. But that's just my opinion I like this book but I still have to say Mythamorthphia is still my favorite. I see it as a nice extension for my collection. Thank you.

Itâ€™s wonderful as always (from kerby Rosanes) the one sided pages are a bonus, but just like with the last one that I didnâ€™t even bother buying, itâ€™s too small. The first few books were enormous in comparison.I wouldnâ€™t mind smaller books if the price was also smaller.

This was supposed to be the original 1818 version of the book, but it isnâ€™t. Itâ€™s a bizarre copy - there are no publishing notes at all. Itâ€™s missing the Preface. I compared the first few chapters to an online version of the 1818 book and I noticed differences in Letter 3 where a whole paragraph was added. I would need to check the 1831 version to see if that is what this book is. I should return it but it was $4 and not worth the effort.

This book was one of the biggest surprises for me! Absolutely NOTHING what I expected. When someone says word "Frankenstein", you think about a lab, a mad proffesor, some lightning buzzing into the bolts inside monster's head. Drop all this imagination! This classical book had nothing of it! :O Maybe that's why I was so amazed. If I didn't have all those expectations, maybe my rating would be lower, but now, damn, I liked it a lot! Since I have so much to say, I'll just drop it into a list, of good and bad things :)1) It's awesome that Amazon is giving free ebooks for classical literature like this! Thanks, Amazon! And what a surprise it was for me, that this Kindle edition is the real original "Frankenstein", but audiobookÂ narrated by George Guidhall is of a later edition (which was edited by the author herself, when her book became famous). So reading those two books where more like reading two separate books for me - one ebook and one audiobook, with quite a lot of changes, even so major as who Elizabeth was to Victor - a real cousin, or just a girl taken from street! :O2) As I said, I have expected this book to be absolutely different! A horror story, about making a man from different body parts. Actually this only took a few pages of the book. All the book was Victor's thoughts about what he had done, creatures thoughts about humankind, andÂ 3) a lot a lot A LOT of words misery, wretchedness and countenance :DÂ My oh my, I have never read so many same QQing thoughts in my life! :D This book could be a good 5 star if Victor's thoughts weren't so TERRIBLY repetitive. He said he feels misery/is miserable/life's misery at least 135 times (just did a search in my Kindle). I won't even count other of his cryings. I should be ashamed of making fun of his inner tortures. Victor Frankenstein had a really difficult life, but I'm not if it was a good idea by the author to write it in such a repetitive way! but on the other hand - it was an absolutely different style from the books I usually read, so also a good thing.4) Never ever don't you dear call a man-made-man a "Frankenstein"! He didn't have a name! Frankenstein was his creator. But the creature was just that - a creature. And what a surprise he was! All my life I thought of Frankenstein's creature to be a mindless monster, with bolts in his head, making ugly sounds and walking like a zombie. That's what those movies show! But this was such a mistake of mine! :O Creature was one of the most intelligent characters in the story! His ability to deduct, to learn, to feel... he was amazing! The story creature told about his first year of life was so heartgripping that I felt so fond of him, so sorry for him... Sadly later he changed.. Loniness makes people (and other creatures) do bad things... :( But still.. he was not a mindless zombie. He was extremely sensitive being.. With emotions on extremities - both good and bad. But wouldn't we be like that, if we didn't have parents and comfort of other people to learn from?I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to read some intricate English language, but who has enough patience to suffer though all characters' repetitive sufferings (pun intended).This book is emotional, but not in a romantic way. It makes You think about creators responsibility against the creation. And most of all, it shows how Your decisions can change Your whole life!

If you're reading this review, you only have one question. You're not looking for a book review, you already know it's a classic. You already know this is the most original, and one of the best, and best-written horror stories in literature. You may or may not like the story, but that's a matter of personal taste. A lot of people don't like Shakespeare, but no one questions whether he was a good writer or not. If you don't like the writing style, it's because you aren't familiar with the English of this period. Nearly eighty years before Stoker's "Dracula" ( an idea stolen from Polidori's "The Vampyre", which was an idea stolen from LeFanu's "Carmilla"), this most-original horror masterpiece was born. So, your only question is, "Is this really the uncensored 1818 version? Because I've only seen one other verified version, and it's over twenty dollars in paperback. All the others claiming to be the 1818 version have been disproved." YES, as far as I can tell, it is. The only preface is Shelley's own original. There is no introduction, no commentary or editorial credits whatsoever. There are no illustrations, and the spelling and language have not been edited. Have a good thesaurus handy. So, here it is, the author's original script, no frills, for a bargain price. Which is exactly what I was looking for.

Do not buy this (October 22, 2017) Kindle edition of Frankenstein. The book is riddled with typographic errors and the wording is off in many places. Some sentences don't flow or even make sense. It appears a bad OCR tool was used to translate the original Frankenstein novel to this bastardization. I had to put down the book since it was simply unreadable. As an alternative, I downloaded the open source version (legally free) from Gutenberg here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/84. I'm now reading and enjoying Frankenstein on its 200th anniversary.

I expected this to be more of a chemistry book, but it isn't. It's more focused on Earth science and environmental science. As such, it does a good job. It goes through the standard things you would expect like the water cycle, erosion, ocean depth, ice bergs, ocean life, etc. There were some places where it went into more interesting depth, for example, the varying degrees of salinity in different bodies of water. The text is engaging and the pictures are well done. The layout is also impressive.My biggest disappointment was just that so much of it overlapped with so many other science books we have so my kids were a little bored. At this point, they understand the water cycle, that the ocean is deep and that animals live there.The environmental science was more interesting and less commonly found it science books, but didn't interest my kids as much (I think it will as they get older). It did cover topics like drought and rain, global warming (of course!), dams and waste water. I thought these topics were covered in a balanced way.It's a good science book but it may not cover a lot that other books in your library don't - especially if you already have earth science or environmental science books. In that genre however, it is excellent.I would love to see a book focused on some other aspect of water - such as how it's different from other molecules and how unusual it is in the chemical world. And I would have preferred that this book pick a focus - such as water scarcity or humans and water rather than just being called "water."

I've bought this a second time because its my 6 year olds favorite book and he wore out his first one.

I love reading this to my 5 year old son for bedtime. We'll choose a few pages and talk about everything we've learned. I always learn something new too.

There arenâ€™t many books on Plants on Amazon site. This is good book to teach my 4 yr old about Photosynthesis, etc. This book requires adult to read kids.

Bought a bunch of this series for my Grandson for Christmas . . . He loves them so much, I bought the rest for his birthday . . . and his cousins love them so much I am going to have to buy the set for all my kids families.

We got this for a unit study with Harry Potter (through Build Your Library). It has wonderful photography, easy to understand descriptions, and the poster and CD are a great bonus!

The book was a bit thinner than I thought. (Didn't read the dimensions)It contains lots of basic information on plants, with interesting bits scattered everywhere.The pictures are clean and beautiful.The book comes with a Clip-Art CD, but doesn't even compare to actually looking inside the book. (Very low definition images.) It also comes with a nice folded-poster.Still, overall a very worthwhile buy. I also purchased the 'Insect' book as well and it rates the same.Purchased for $11.85, and got free 2-day shipping with my Amazon Student account.Great addition to our home library. 5 stars.
