Mediterranean breakfast??what??? haha. If your a breakfast person you’ll be happy to know theres a great little breakfast section in here. And that’s missing in most other Mediterranean cookbooks by the way. I don’t know what they think that if you’re on this diet you don’t eat breakfast? Well anyway this book has a lot of great recipes for all meals of the day but I was especially happy to see a breakfast section. Since I work long hours its great to just have basically “grab and go breakfasts†but I was either spending too much money at starbucks to get their healthy wraps or else I was getting mcdonalds breakfast every morning on the way to work. This is exactly what I needed because I’m saving money, eating much healthier and I don’t have to make breakfast every morning. Just once or twice a week and it doesn’t even have to be in the morning. I can do it the night before or whatever I want. Love it!
I love this book! It’s like a good book you can’t put down! I need structure in my life and this book does that! Or well for my eating habits at least! The recipes are of food you have heard of and can get from a local grocery store. I wish it had more recipes! But I love the break down! I highly recommend for someone who is just starting out this book. It is a very good book for the beginner to start a journey to a healthier lifestyle.3 people found this helpful
ONE OF A KIND! The most practical Mediterranean diet cookbook I’ve ever seen. All the other cookbooks ive bought have been nice but just so complicated. Every recipe is just full of so many weird ingredients. This book is specifically for people that don’t have time to just sit around and make complicated recipes all day. There are many delicious recipes in here and the best part is that they’re all for meal prep. So you can make a big batch and portion it out and have lunch or dinner (or even breakfast) made for the whole week. Or depending on how big your family is at least for a few days. I’m so glad I bought this book.
This book begins by explaining what a Mediterranean diet is and then goes on to list the many benefits. The author dispels some of the myths associated with the Mediterranean diet too, while presenting information found in various studies. Indeed, the recipes are very easy to make and incredibly elegant. Love it!
· Its annoying how the book is kind of small and flimsy but thats how all these amazon books are so its not really the authors fault. Pictures inside were black and white (I suspect another amazon standard to keep costs down). Inside the recipes were good and the introduction provides a good overview of the Mediterranean diet and includes “7 Steps for Success on the Mediterranean Diet†which I found to be helpful.
My husband is a picky eater and does not have a particularly healthy taste in food. We’ve tried several of the recipes from this book and no complaints so far. Wish me luck as we continue. I’m sure eventually he’ll find something he doesn’t like, but that’s just life I guess. Thank you to the author for writing this book.
Meal prepping meets the Mediterranean diet. It’s basically exactly that. Mediterranean diet recipes in meal prep form. Some of them are a bit of a stretch—almost more like making a big batch of something and just eating the leftovers, but I suppose that’s pretty much what meal prepping is in essence
Look inside the book at the table of contents and you’ll be able to see a list of all the recipes in this book. If they sound good to you, buy it. That’s how I made my decision. It seemed like a good balance of recipes and now its one of my most used cookbooks in my kitchen
