Took this along on my last trip to Minneapolis and had a great time following some of the tours. The only thing that would make it better? Making it loose-leaf or available as an app so I don't have to take the while book along! As it is, I pulled out the pages I needed each day and put them back in place with my notes in the evening.
My husband and I, both seniors, recently visited the Twin Cities for three days and used this book to help us discover unusual neighborhoods and buildings. The author has developed a delightful variety of walks that appeal to different people, interests and strength levels. She's also helpfully indicated where to park to begin the walks.For a total stranger to the Twin Cities, I needed better orientation about the general vicinity of each walk. An overview in the front would have been welcome. The walking maps themselves were oversimplified, making it necessary to read the descriptive copy carefully as we went along.But these are slight quibbles. Overall the book was a godsend to us!
We used this book extensively during an 8-day stay in Minneapolis-St. Paul this fall. We loved the area, and the book was a great resource. Highly recommended.
This book has many excellent walking tours. I live in the Twin Cities and some were unfamiliar to me. It's been fun exploring the city in which I live.
Good walking tours for central Minneapolis. We did not get to try walks further afield.
